Just like the last bike what it really turns out to be is an idea generator. But unlike my road bike this bike requires a great deal more concentration to stay on it. Mountain biking is dangerous. First day on the new bike I crashed three times. Not used to clipless pedals on a mountain bike. Twice on the trail I took a fall when I could not get a foot out of the pedals fast enough to keep from falling. Not so embarrassing since there was no one around. Maybe a squirrel or two and I am sure they got a good laugh out of it. The other was right in front of my building. Rode up to the door and promptly fell over. Bam. Will take a while to get to the point as I do on my road bike to spend more time thinking about design, art and life and less time trying to survive.

The sketchbook requires no operating system internally. Requires no power. Can’t connect to the web. Does not do Facebook or email. It is the perfect counterbalance for a life that is too digitally based. So the next time your computer quits, screws up, or is sucking the life out of you through your eyes that are glued to the screen walk away from it, open your sketchbook and draw. Draw anything.
